We are proud of our commitment to sustainability.
We believe that who you partner with matters. Our products are made in partnership with the best brands in the business. Our commitment to doing good goes beyond the money that we are able to donate to local nonprofits. We want every step of the manufacturing process to mirror those commitments to social and sustainable efforts.
What does 'Organic' really mean?
The word 'organic' means that the fiber used to produce the garment is grown organically. This does not guarantee that a responsible process has been used to produce the entire garment. The only guarantee is through certification.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, backed by independent certifications of the entire textile supply chain. The aim of the standard is to define requirements to ensure organic status of textiles; from the harvesting of raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, through labeling that provides a credible assurance to the end consumer.
The GOTS certification is accepted in all major markets, giving certified goods the assurance of global adherence and standardization with their organic standards.
OUR COMMITMENT TO Transparency
Quality clothing starts with the details. To ensure that every component of our garments are safe for human health, we have set our product standards to be OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
OEKO-TEX® is the world’s leading certification of textiles tested for harmful substances. Each garment component has been tested for harmful substances and declared safe; therefore aligned with our standard of quality at Original Favorites.
quality tees
Our shirts are made using the highest quality Supima cotton. These are more than a product giving back to our community. They are ones you will feel proud to support and find yourself reaching for constantly in your closet. The soft, Supima cotton is unmatched.
SUPIMA® utilizes forensic science to test the natural fiber itself and verify its place of origin. To ensure this, SUPIMA® has partnered with Oritain, a global leader in forensic science.
Without clear knowledge of the origin of a product it is impossible to definitively talk about the product. The ability to authenticate cotton to its point of geographical origin enables an open dialogue about all relevant facts, including point of origin, sustainability, and social and economic responsibility aspects. Unlike other technologies that are dependent upon the addition of a tracer or marker.
From GPS-navigated tractors that plant and harvest the cotton to satellite technology and soil monitors, SUPIMA® farmers ensure that they are growing the best quality cotton in the world with as little impact on the environment as possible.
Traceable supply chain
The supply chain for all of our products starts with the cotton farmers. Our supplier connects with farms that implement sustainable and fair practices while producing the raw materials we use to produce our garments. It is imperative to go the extra mile when it comes to connecting our customers with the highest quality products and ensure trust through transparency.
We pride ourselves in being certified for every part of our supply chain. In order for a product to be considered "organic", the product has to be grown organically.
The Oritain verification through Supima® is another commitment to quality and safety. It is enforced assurance of the integrity of the product. Oritain is a verification that focuses on proving the product in question is scientifically linked to the claimed origin of the product. Oritain conducts tests in order to certify the actual product matches the "origin footprint" that is claimed by any company. Through this verification that starts at the cotton seed, we can verify for our customers the product they are receiving is 100% American Grown Supima® cotton.
